This year we’re trying something different with the club champs. We’re doing it all in a day! No heats of an evening so trainings not interrupted and the swimmers are not all exhausted from a hard day at school 🤯 And our parent officials will not be trudging round the pool wishing they were at home with their feet up having dinner and watching The Apprentice.

There will be 2 sessions, morning will be fly, back, breast and free and the afternoon will be IM and fun relays! Because it’s so very close to HALLOWEEN this will be our theme and FANCY DRESS on poolside but not in the pool is encouraged. I wouldn’t try and swim dressed as a werewolf if I were you. Coaches and Officials are encouraged to get with the theme! Please do remember that it’s really hot on poolside.

As we are running 11 & over as a licensed meet I need a minimum number of officials for both sessions. If you could volunteer your services asap that would be brilliant. At this point I’m assuming everyone will do both sessions because I’ve cunningly popped relays last so we should all be there together until the end! And there will be a lovely light lunch served during the break for those staying all day.

Parents who are not officials!
2 volunteers on the registration desk which will just be morning.
I need 3 Marshalls per session
2 volunteers for the medals desk each session.
1 general runner per session
1 volunteer for water
1 volunteer for sweets

Officials
I need 14 timekeepers there’s no wiggle room in this I honestly need 14.
Judge 1’s a minimum of 4, I’d prefer more really.
Judge 2 I need 2, but sign in anyway and I’ll use you where needed.
J2S 1 but I’d be overjoyed with more because you’re so flexible. if you’re swimming in the comp you’re off the hook.
Referees I’ll take as many of them as want to come, I’m not fussy.
